Fishing Areas Management

The Law on Protection and Sustainable Use of Fish Stocks regulates the management of fish stocks in fishing waters through the protection and sustainable use of fish stocks as a good of general interest in state ownership.

SE “Srbijašume” has been assigned to use the following fishing areas: “Belgrade”, “Danube”, and “Mlava”.

On the basis of custody over protected areas, SE “Srbijašume” is the user of the following fishing areas: “Jelašnička Gorge”, “Sićevačka Gorge”, “Lepterija – Sokograd”, “Lazar’s Canyon”, “Golija”, “Stara planina”, “Jerma”, “Zlatibor”and “Radan”.

Fish-stock management at SE “Srbijašume” is carried out in accordance with the principle of sustainable use, which contributes to the conservation of the diversity of ichthyofauna and ecological integrity of aquatic ecosystems, through the implementation of the Fisheries Management Program and the Annual Fisheries Management Program.

The above programs define the measures that the user is obliged to implement, with the aim of achieving the highest possible level of responsibility in the protection and sustainable use of fish stocks.
