Between September 10th and 12th, 2021, the XIX Forestry Congress – 2021 Forestry Festival was held in Vrnjačka Banja. This event was opened for the 8th time by the Acting Director Igor Braunović who welcomed all his colleagues and friends of the Enterprise, wished them good luck in the upcoming competition, and also used the opportunity to congratulate the employees on the jubilee – the Enterprise’s 30th birthday, which will be celebrated later this year.
About 750 employees from different parts of the State Enterprise “Srbijašume” competed for two days in numerous sports disciplines, enjoyed socializing and exchanging business experiences. Competitors competed against each other in three-point shootout, football, volleyball, table tennis, darts, tug of war, forest all-around, long jump, 200 m running and chess, in the women’s and men’s categories, as well as in the mixed-gender.
As in the previous years, a competition of chainsaw cutters was held within the Forestry Congress as well. Of the many disciplines, the competition in the discipline of limbing attracted the most attention which, due to its attractiveness, gathers the most visitors to Vrnjačka Banja, and the final victory went to Marko Nešković from FE “Golija” Ivanjica.
The most medals at the 2021 Forestry Festival went to employees of FE “Rasina” Kruševac, whose team was presented the winning trophy by the Acting Director Igor Braunović. In addition to a large number of guests, the Director of PE “Vojvodinašume”, Roland Kokai, also attended the solemn announcement of the winner and the awarding of medals.
