Forest protection includes a system of measures and activities implemented to prevent, repress and eliminate the adverse effects caused by plant diseases, insects, rodents, wild game, livestock, man, fire, other natural disasters, as well as other biotic and abiotic factors.
Within the framework of forest protection, SE “Srbijašume” is continuously working on the implementation and improvement of methods of preventive and repressive protection. Considering the intensifying impacts of various factors, and above all the negative impact of climate change on the state of forest ecosystems, preventive protection by implementing different measures is one of the priority strategic goals of SE “Srbijašume”.
Training and continuous professional development of forest protection workers, through workshops and seminars, is also a very important segment to be carried out in cooperation with competent scientific and educational institutions.
