After a two-year break caused by the coronavirus pandemic, SE “Srbijašume” traditionally, for the sixth time actually, took part in the 33rd international fair for hunting and fishing “Die Hohe Jagd & Fischerei 2023” in Salzburg, Austria. On that occasion, the Enterprise had the opportunity to present its hunting tourism offer at the second largest fair in Europe and the largest fair of its kind in the Alpine area.
During the four trade fair days, from Feb. 16th to Feb.19th, 2023, there were more than 600 exhibitors from 40 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and South/North America. They presented their products and services, hunting and fishing equipment, clothing and footwear, optical devices and weapons, off-road vehicles, as well as travel and nature activities, including hunting trips, tours and packages.
At the stand of SE “Srbijašume”, a large number of agencies specializing in hunting tourism and hunters in general expressed their interest in individual and group hunting of wild boar, European deer, roe deer and chamois with high trophy value, as well as wolf and small game. In further communication with hunting tourism agencies, which deal with mediation in the sale of hunting packages, we expect to conclude sub-agency contracts, and thus an increased number of foreign tourist hunters in our hunting grounds. Our offer was specifically promoted through appropriate materials and videos shot in the hunting grounds managed by SE “Srbijašume”, which attracted the attention of numerous potential hunters.
Also, great interest was recorded when it comes to our offer related to the hunting grounds in the vicinity of Belgrade, in combination with sightseeing tours of the capital Belgrade/Serbia, as well as to the hunting grounds near the Danube.
On the second day of the Fair, the stand of SE “Srbijašume” was visited by General Director Igor Braunović and his associates.
This year, too, there were numerous accompanying events that attracted the visitors’ attention. Competitions in deer calling and archery, conversations with eminent experts from the world of hunting, demonstration of the skills of hunting dogs, and an abundant offer of hunting literature are all recognizable features of this gathering of European and world hunters.
The exhibition of all-terrain vehicles, hunting/fishing equipment, various natural and herbal products, the outstanding opportunity to try out technical equipment, as well as a diverse offer of foods and drinks, enabled the visitors to enjoy their time spent in 10 exhibit halls to the fullest extent.
